Reportedly, Dr Ishratul Ibad, Sindh Governor has sought explanation from the university over final year student’s death. According to the family, Basit’s car had broken down on his way to the exam centre. Late student’s friends have held a teacher responsible for the incident as he allegedly told Basit  he would get permission if he sets himself on fire.
On the other hand, police have recorded statements of the administration members. The statements suggest that the late student was continuously failing for the past seven years.Principal of the institution stated that Basit had arrived at least half an hour late for the exam.
However, the police have said that it is too soon to say whether it was a suicide or he was set on fire.
