Famous pashto singer Mashooq Sultana passes away

Peshawar (HRNW)-Prominent Pashto vocalist Mahjabeen, referred to professionally as Mashooq Sultana, passed on in Peshawar on Monday morning after an extended sickness.

Mashooq, 70, who had been experiencing hepatitis, was admitted to a nearby healing center for quite a while, a family source said.

“Her Namaz-e-Janaza was offered at Chugalpura, Peshawar at 02:00 pm on Monday.

She has more than 1,500 collections shockingly. Sultana made her introduction amid her late youngsters at a private music show in the place where she grew up, Shanderai, in Swat.

The acclaimed artist has spoken to Pakistan in the US, UK, France, Belgium, UAE and Afghanistan on a few events and is the beneficiary of 600 honors, including the desired presidential honor, the Pride of Performance in 1997.
