Karachi (HRNW): Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday said that peace in Karachi is vital for security and stability of Pakistan. The army chief visited the Karachi Corps headquarters and Malir Garrison. At the Corps headquarters, General Bajwa was briefed on security situation in the province particularly Karachi, and operational preparedness of the law-enforcement agencies. General Bajwa hailed performance of Pakistan Rangers Sindh in maintaining improved security in the metropolitan.
He said that peace in national economic hub Karachi is vital for security and stability of Pakistan, and that efforts will continue to maintain normalcy in Karachi and the province. Later, General Bajwa addressed officers of Malir Garrison and appreciated their professional excellence towards defence and security of the country.
