Here’s what Imran says on his barefoot arrival in Saudi Arabia

Karachi (HRNW): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan landed in Saudi Arabia barefoot, prompting conspiracy theories on the social media while video clip of Khan coming out of a chartered plane also went viral. Imran flew to Saudi Arabia on Monday accompanied by wife Bushra Maneka from Noor Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi. After paying respects at the Holy Mosque in Madinah, the couple headed to Makkah for Umrah. But what quickly came into notice was Khan wearing no shoes.

Putting to an end all the conspiracy theories on the issue, Imran said in his terse reply: “Yes, I arrived barefoot in Saudi Arabia in respect of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).” Answering another question, Khan said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was backing ex-CJP Iftikhar Chaudhary in cases against him. “It was same Iftikhar Ch. Who was used by the PML-N in 2013 general elections for rigging. The former chief justice controlled all ROs and ensured N-League’s victory.” Khan insisted that ninety percent tickets to PTI members were awarded in a transparent manner.
