Another govt vehicle stolen in Karachi

Karachi (HRNW): A government-owned vehicle was stolen from Karachi’s upscale Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area in Karachi on Friday night,  According to details, unknown thieves stole the vehicle from outside the residence of Malir Development Authority Assistant Director Kamran Kalhoro late night on Friday. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered in Gizri police station. It is pertinent to note here that Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar’s official vehicle was snatched at gunpoint in the Defence Housing Society (DHA) area of the city on Saturday, September 8.

The mayor, however, was not in the car when it was snatched by armed culprits in Khayaban-e-Bukhari in DHA. His chauffeur was driving the vehicle, a black Toyota Corolla, at the time of the incident. According to reports, the car bore registration number JS-999. Two days later, a Sindh Assembly vehicle bearing registration number GSC-748 was snatched on gunpoint in Sachal Goth police jurisdiction in the city. The driver assigned to the vehicle allotted to Sindh Assembly officers arrived in Sachal Goth to meet friends when armed robbers snatched the government vehicle from him, police had said.
