SEPA should be shifted from Korangi to Machar Colony, Mahfooz un Nabi

Karachi (HRNW) – The Provincial Office of Sindh Environment Protection Agency should be shifted from Korangi Industrial Area to Machar Colony in order to keep a watch on all types of pollution including that of sea in Karachi. The Machar Colony is located on the sea side presents a sub-human picture of environment hazard. This were stated by PTI activist Mahfooz-un-Nabi Khan while addressing a meeting of Pakistan Quomi Yakjehti Council presided by Masood Alam. Kamran Mirza Rizqi, MS Zakra Mumtaz, also spoke on the occasion. The speakers have expressed concern over the present location of the office of Sindh Environment Protection Agency and because information, the high-ups of the agency are harassing the Factory Owners of the Industrial Area on minor issues. They said that recently Federal Finance Minister has announced a number of concessions to trade and industry for boosting countries’ economy.

The speakers further said that the behavior of Sindh Environment Protection Agency is indecent towards the industrialist which can harm the government desire to promote business and manufacturing activities for creating employment to the youth. They said that the agency should also keep an eye on overall environmental menace addressed exists in the city. They hoped that Sindh Government will take a serious note of the problem referred by them in respect of the agency.
