Ikram Ullah Dharejo directed to upgrade the Cooperative department website

Karachi (HRNW)- Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce & Cooperative Department Jam Ikram Ullah Dharejo has directed to upgrade official website of Sindh Cooperative Department asking them to upload comprehensive data on the website, while in this regard Complaint Cell should be made more effective. This he said while presiding over a meeting of the department in his office on Friday. Secretary Cooperative Department Akhtar Ali Burghari, Muhammad Ali Shaikh Registrar Cooperative Societies, Naveed Abbasi Deputy Registrar Karachi and other officers also attended the meeting. While briefing the meeting, Secretary Cooperative Societies Akhtar Ali Burghari told that there were as many 1175 Cooperative Societies across the province, out of which , 495 were in Karachi, 41 in Hyderabad, 10 in TandoAllayar, 12 in Badin, 41 in Thatta, 12 in Dadu, 34 in Jamshoro, 70 in Sukkur, 12 in Ghotki, 29 in N. Feroze, 51 in Khairpur, 12 in Nawabshah, 16 in Larkana, 113 in Shikarpur, 50 in Jacobabad, 19 in Kashmore, 22 in Mirpurkhas, 47 in Sanghar and 89 in Umerkot. Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce & Cooperative Societies Jam Ikram Ullah Dharejo asked the officers to conduct awareness seminars and sessions on cooperative societies’ issues and perform their duties honestly, otherwise strict action would be taken against them according to the law. He asked Secretary Cooperative Societies to pay visits to the societies across the province and give him progress report. He warned them that he would himself pay visits to the societies and would not tolerate any lethargic attitude of the officers in dispose of their duties. Jam Ikram Ullah Dharejo added, ‘ Good officers will be assigned so that they may give better results and they should cooperate with the people and facilitate them’. He directed the officers to cooperate with NAB and FIA in the cases, adding that no corruption would be tolerated in the department and those who were found involved in the corruption would be taken to task.
