No deals sans Aafia release acceptable to nation: Dr Fowzia

Islamabad, Sep 20: Aafia Movement Pakistan leader and noted neurophysician of the country Dr Fowzia Siddiqui has said that no deal during the visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan would be accepted to the nation sans release of the daughter of nation,
Dr Aafia Siddiqui.

A demo held by civil society outside the Islamabad Press Club here Friday Dr Fowzia Siddiqui in her telephonic address said that the second visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to the US, his scheduled meeting with US President Trump and address to the general  assembly of the United Nations have provided a good opportunity to seek the release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui.

She reminded that Imran Khan and PTI during their electoral drive had promised with the nation that they would seek the release of Aafia Siddiqui.

She said this is matter of our national honor and the nation would accept no deal without Aafia release.

She said the release of Aafia would raise the moral of the nation and the Kashmiri sisters. She said Dr Aafia had congratulated Prime Minister Imran Khan on assuming office and appealed to play role in her release.

She said for last six months the Pakistani consul general has not visited Dr Aafia and not shared their report with the family. She said the mother of Aafia is seriously ill and she wants release of her  daughter. She also wants to talk to the Prime Minister Imran.

She appealed the nation to pray for early release of Aafia and recovery of her mother Asmat Siddiqui.

Pasban Democratic Party Islamabad chapter president Syed Mustansirul Hasan Gilani, Defence of Human Rights President Amina Maqsood Janjua, Haji Gul Rehman Safi, Muslim Students Organization leader Bilal Rabbani, Amjad Shah, Tariq Jadoon,
Saeed Khan and others also spoke. Prof Iftikhar Afridi, Hazrat Ali, Shahid Shamsi, Chaudhry Aas Muhammad Meo, Jam Muhammad, Mir Afsar, Asad bin Azam and others were present.
