Robbery failed in Sarjani town, robber killed by citizen’s firing

KARACHI (HRNW) A robbery attempt failed in Sarjani Town. The robber was killed by the firing of the citizen.
Sirjani Police Station House Officer (SHO) Asadullah Agha said that two suspects tried to rob an unidentified citizen near Go Petrol Pump in Gulshan Noor early Sunday morning. The citizen resisted and opened fire on the robbers, as a result of which one robber was injured by bullet while his accomplice escaped.
According to the SHO, the citizen who opened fire also fled the scene. The injured robber was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he was declared brought dead. The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Bilal Yasin.

According to the police, the deceased also has a criminal record in the past. There are 5 cases related to robbery, including a case of injuring citizens during robberies in Bilal Colony and Sarjani Town respectively. A pistol has been recovered from the possession of the accused.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Asif Shakir, a motorcyclist, was shot and injured while resisting robbery near Kinez Fatima Society on Sunday.

Sarjani Police SHO Asadullah Agha said that the accused snatched the mobile phone from the citizen, shot him on resistance and fled after looting the valuables. The injured citizen has been shifted to ASH.
