People have rejected politics of hate, division: PM

LONDON (HRNW) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday said the people of the country had rejected the politics of hate and division.

His remarks were apparently directed towards the PTI even though he did not name the party.

He said it was required to improve the economic situation of the country instead of just filling the stadium for uncalled political gatherings.

Answering a question, he said, “The PML-N will hold rally in 2028 as now is the time to deliver on the promises made in run up to election. Enough has been said about the need for political stability and its linkage for the economic recovery.”

The premier said the people had supported the government’s vision for economic progress by rejecting the politics of ‘us vs them’.

He urged the nation, political parties, institutions, and provinces to join hands in tackling economic challenges and terrorism.

“A lot of time of the nation and the country has been wasted in political chaos and now spending more time on this issue is not in the interest of the country,” he said.

The PM said the federal government would remain committed to the policy of fully supporting the solution of public issues, reducing inflation, and ensuring equitable development in collaboration with all provinces.
