Malir police busted a gang of inter-provincial drug traffickers

Karachi (HRNW) The Malir police busted a gang of inter-provincial drug traffickers bringing highly valued opiates for supplying in parts of Karachi.

The Malir Police was tipped about the smuggling of large quantities of Opiates/ Charas by long wanted drug traffickers of a major interprovincial network. The narcotics consignment was being smuggled from Thatta to Karachi.

The Malir Police managed to intercept a rickshaw carrying sacks of 200 kg high quality Charas near Ghaggar Phatak. The entire plan was to move the consignment in a non descript vehicle to fend off any suspicion.

However, the Malir Police recovered the 200 kg of high quality and highly valued narcotics before it could be supplied to the drug networks in the metropolitan city.
Three long sought after drug traffickers including Aurangzeb Pathan, Fida Afridi alias Langra, Abdullah Afridi were rounded up in the operation.

Following investigations, the Malir Police swiftly mounted further operations in suspected drug trafficker- paddlers hideouts in Shah Latif Town, Keamari and Sohrab Goth from where the narcotics was to be supplied to onwards destinations.
Further investigations are continuing.
