Lahore (HRNW) University of Punjab becomes battle field between two rival student groups on Friday when both groups attacked each other. During clashes Six security guards and five students were injured. Clashes erupted during Sports Gala event organised by the sociology department.
One group of students attacked another group with knives. In the result of bloody clashes three people were injured.
The security guards reached the area to bring the situation under control. But the students attacked them too. The injured men have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
The university students staged a protest at the university following the clash.
