NAB nominates Nawaz, Zardari in new corruption reference

ISLAMABAD (HRNW) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday has nominated former Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif, Yousaf Raza Gillani and ex-president Asif Ali Zardari accused as per recent development in fake bank accounts case.

According to the new reference filed by the anti-corruption watchdog, former PM Yousaf Raza Gillani had illegally allotted cars to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman.

Asif Ali Zardari had only paid 15 percent price of the car by his close aide and Omni Group Chief Anwar Majeed Anwar Majeed and his son Abdul Ghani Majeed through a fake bank account, the reference stated.

It further stated that Abdul Ghani Majeed had also transferred Rs9.2 million to Zardari and Rs37 millions to customs collector in Islamabad.
