Lockdown could be reimposed if Pakistanis don’t take care: minister

Islamabad (HRNW) Federal Information Minister Shibli Faraz has warned that a lockdown could be reimposed in Pakistan if people don’t take care.

He took to Twitter on Friday morning to issue the warning.

The minister said the decision to ease the lockdown was taken to help the poorest segment of society. He said protecting the nation’s health and economy must go hand in hand.

A longer lockdown would have destroyed smaller businesses, said Faraz, adding that for restrictions to be lifted, they need the people’s help. The SOPs developed for the reopening of businesses must be followed, he urged.
