Posch and Kaderabek doubts for Hoffenheim’s Bundesliga opener

Hoffenheim could are sweating on the fitness for two players ahead of their Bundesliga opener on Saturday against Cologne as starters Stefan Posch and Pavel Kaderabek picked up weekend injuries, the club said on Monday.

The pair had to be replaced during the German Cup first round match against fourth division Chemnitz, won by Hoffenheim on penalties after a 2-2 draw.

According to the club Posch had his tibia severely bruised, while Kaderabek suffered a thigh injury. Hoffenheim didn’t mention how long the players will be sidelined, but wrote on Twitter both will “need to take it easy for the time being.”

Their list of injured players also includes captain Benjamin Huebner, right winger Robert Skov, striker Munas Dabbur and defender Havard Nordtveit.
