Robbery is being carried out on Sindh water, protest in Sindh Assembly

KARACHI: (HRNW) The Sindh government and opposition parties have united on the issue of water distribution. In the Sindh Assembly session, the Chief Minister alleged that the water of Sindh was being plundered. PTI, MQM and Jamaat-e-Islami assured full support to the provincial government on the water dispute.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in the Sindh Assembly session complained about the lack of water supply to the province. Murad Ali Shah accused the federation of stealing Sindh’s water.

Murad Ali Shah said that Sindh has received 27% less water since 1991 and Punjab has been supplied more which has resulted in a loss of  27 billion to Sindh.
After Murad Ali Shah’s address, other opposition parties, including the PTI, assured the Sindh Chief Minister of their support on the issue.
The Sindh Assembly also passed the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute for Science and Amendment Bill and a bill to protect journalists and other media practitioners in Sindh.
