Sindh Govt fulfilled promise by passing Journalist protection bill: Nasir Shah

KARACHI: (HRNW) Sindh Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah has said that Govt has fulfilled its promise by passing the Journalist Protection Bill in the Sindh Assembly.

Nasir Shah said that this move proves that the Sindh government takes the first step in every good deed. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had promised the journalists to pass the bill.

Nasir Hussain Shah said that he congratulated the journalists and media workers on the passage of the Journalists Protection and Media Persons Bill.

Nasir Hussain Shah said that journalists would be punished for harassing and threatening to kill. The bill was drafted with the help of journalist organizations and senior journalists in the country. Media workers and journalists will be protected in the performance of their professional duties.
