Sindh is the first province that established Special Economic Zones: Qasim Naveed Qamar

Karachi. (HRNW) Special Assistant to CM Sindh on Investment Department and Public Private Partnership Projects Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar has said that Sindh province is the first province of Pakistan that established Special Economic Zones to attract industrialists and investors to establish industries and Khairpur was the first of its kind special economic zone. This he said while presiding over a meeting on the progress of Khairpur Economic Zone here in his office on Tuesday. Chief Executive Officer Abdul Azeem Uqaili also attended the meeting.

On this occasion CEO, Abdul Azeem Uqaili briefed SACM Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar regarding measures to enhance the performance of Khairpur Economic Zone. He added , ‘ Almost 85% of plots are already allotted and the zone provides an excellent infrastructure and state of the are facilities to the investors’ .

SACM on Investment Department and PPPP asked them to expedite work on special economic zones in Sindh because it would bring prosperity and job opportunities for the people of the province. He said that under the vision of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, we were committed to boost up Sindh Economy and provide a better working environment for locals, national and international investors to establish their industries in these Special Economic Zones.
