Karachi (HRNW) After two days of intense heat in Karachi, light rain started falling in different parts of the city in the evening, which made the weather pleasant.
The first rains started from Gulshan-e-Hadid, Gulshan-e-Maymar and surrounding areas. Rain also fell in Hassan Square, Federal B Area, Buffer Zone and New Karachi.
Various areas of the city including II Chandragar Road and Burns Road are covered with dark clouds while dusty strong winds are also blowing and intermittent rains are also continuing.
The Meteorological Department had forecast extreme heat in the city from September 14 to 17.
The Meteorological Department had also predicted the entry of a new monsoon system in Karachi and Sindh from September 17.
On the other hand, with the rain in Karachi, as per tradition, power was lost from many areas. More than 150 feeders of K Electric in the city tripped during the rain.
