The anti-polio campaign in Karachi will start from September 20

KARACHI: (HRNW) A seven-day anti-polio drive in Karachi will begin on September 20. The meeting chaired by Commissioner Karachi Naveed Ahmed Sheikh reviewed the arrangements for anti-polio campaign.
It was decided at the meeting that efforts would be made to vaccinate the remaining children who refused to be vaccinated against polio. Deputy Commissioners will play a role in this, while help will be sought from scholars, religious leaders, political figures, social workers, community members, parents and public opinion experts.
It was informed in the meeting that more than 2.3 million children would be vaccinated against polio during the campaign. Twenty-three thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight polio workers and other staff members will be on duty during the campaign.
