Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai taught us the lesson of peace & love through his poetry: Shazia Marri

Karachi (HRNW) Central Information Secretary Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamrntarinans and the member of the National Assembly Shazia Atta Marri has said that Shah Abdul Latif Bhattai was the greatest Sufi poet of Sindhi language and he taught us the lesson of peace, love, brotherhood, tranquility, patriotism and humanity through his virtuous poetry.

This she said while paying rich tribute to the mystic poet of Sindh Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai on his 278th annual Urs Mubarak hereon today. Shazia Marri said that Shah Abdul Latif is known as an intellectual and spiritual leader in the Sindhi society and people of the province are greatly connected to his thoughts and poetry.

The message of the Shah Abdul Latif’s poetry is based on love to the suffering humanity, well-being of mankind, people’s reformation, love for the creator and other socially and morally aspects of the society. Ms Marri said that the seven “Surs” of Shah Abdul Bhittai’s poetry are associated with the brave and historical characters of the women and this is the clear fact that Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai is the ideal of the woman of Sindh. She added that the poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhattai is a beacon for us in this environment of suffocation, hatred and extremism.
