All the available manpower should be used to drain the rain water: Faiz Sheikh

Karachi (HRNW) All the available manpower should be used to drain the rain water in the internal streets in all the union committees of Kemari municipality. Administrator Kemari Faiz Muhammad Sheikh expressed these ideas to Municipal Commissioner Qazi Muhammad. Along with Aslam, while reviewing the rainwater drainage works through dewatering pumps in different areas during the rainy season, he instructed the municipal officials present on the spot and said that the drainage of rainwater in all the internal streets and the elimination of mudslides. For this purpose, drainage of rainwater should be ensured through dewatering pumps on roads and highways, while all available light and heavy machinery and vehicles should be used for the transfer of waste from the drains, he said along with the Municipal Commissioner. He inspected the rain water drainage works in various areas besides Hub River Road, Gulbai, Maripur Road, Machar Colony, Neti Jetty, Jackson Road.Along with ensuring the presence of the machinery in proper condition, hundred percent attendance of the officers and staff should also be ensured. The municipal commissioner present on the occasion while giving a briefing to the administrator about the work to be done regarding the monsoon rains said that all Manpower for drainage of rainwater from inner streets while rainwater on roads and highways is being treated as a source for dewatering pumps. Presence of all light and heavy machinery in proper condition is also ensured.
