Peshawar (HRNW) A group of 5 terrorists belonging to the TTP terrorist organisation opened fire on a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Check Post near the Nasir Bagh Afghan Refugee Camp in Peshawar today morning.
KPK Police personnel immediately returned fire and subdued the terrorists, and were later able to successfully capture all 5 terrorists, including a terrorist commander namely ABABIL, who had planned to occupy the post and hole up in there.
There was no collateral damage or casualties to own forces. Amongst the terrorists’ possessions was found 25 hand grenades, numerous Kalashnikov rifles, and fake uniforms of security forces personnel. KPK Police have surrounded the area and have started search operations. SSP Peshawar says that KPK Police intends to give a full response to the TTP. All 5 seized have been taken to a secure location for enhanced interrogation.
