Imran says will announce date for assemblies’ dissolution on Dec 17

Lahore (HRNW) Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has announce that he will announce the date for the dissolution of Punjab and KP assemblies in a big rally being held at Liberty Chowk in Lahore on Dec 17 (Saturday).

He said this while addressing a press conference at Zaman Park residence in Lahore on Wednesday.

He added that all PTI MNAs would personally go the National Assembly and appear before the NA speaker and ask him to accept their resignations, adding that the move would level course for the elections on 70 per cent of the seats in the country.

Imran said that he had discussed all issues including dissolution of provincial assemblies with all senior leaders of the party and completed all consultations.

The PTI chief has ended the confusion regarding the party’s stance on the dissolution of the assemblies.

It is pertinent to mention here before addressing the press conference, the PTI chief held an important session with the party’s senior leaders. Sources added that the PTI senior leaders suggested dissolving the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assemblies on the same date.

He lamented that former COAS Gen Bajwa had given the NRO-2 to these corrupt people and handed over the government to them.

He further said that the whole world knows that Gen Bajwa has given NRO-2 to these corrupt people.

He criticised the warm welcome given to the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Salman Shehbaz over his return. Khan said that Salman Shehbaz should tell the nation how Rs16 billion came to the bank accounts of sugar mills’ employees.”

He cast doubts over the deaths of witnesses and the investigation officer in the case.

The former PM said that he had never seen such circumstances in Pakistan before as today the most corrupt people are absolved from their corruption cases.

He quoted a book which carries a full chapter on the corruption about the Sharifs and Zardaris.

He maintained that the distances between the people of Pakistan and institutions had increased in the tenure of Gen Bajwa.

He said that the inflation had increased many folds and the poor was getting poorer and poorer. On the other hand, the big robbers are being pardoned and dry cleaned of their corruption cases.
