PPP-MQM row: Sindh govt to remove MQM administrators

KARACHI: (HRNW) The rift between Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has intensified as the ruling party in Sindh announced to remove the administrators of MQM.

According to Sindh government sources, it has been decided to remove the administrator of DMC East, Mohammad Shakeel Ahmed, DMC Korangi Muhammad Sharif, and Administrator Hyderabad Muhammad Farooq.

On the other hand, a source close to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) said Tuesday that the deadlock with MQM on the matter of delimitation of constituencies before LG polls in the city remains stock-still.

The source while exclusively talking to BOL News said that both parties are locked horns over the matter and the situation is still the same even after yesterday’s late-night meeting.

The source said that during the meeting PPP stood to its grounds that the party has already fulfilled the demands of MQM and now they cannot change the constituencies.

PPP was of the view that the administrator Karachi was appointed at the demand of MQM and the opinion was backed by Asif Ali Zardari and Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah.
