KARACHI (HRNW) FIA Immigration has arrested a passenger who tried to go to Canada without obtaining a fake boarding pass at Karachi Airport. The accused Rahmatullah was trying to go to Canada on a study visa. During cross-checking at the boarding gate, a fake boarding pass was recovered from the possession of the accused.
Further scrutiny of the travel documents revealed that the Canadian Study Permit and Electronic Travel Permit were also fake. The exit stamp affixed on the fake boarding pass of accused Rahmatullah also turned out to be fake. The accused’s brother was arrested from the international departure lounge.
Upon further questioning and search of the mobile phone by the immigration authorities, photographs of the Afghan passport and identity card of the accused were recovered.
