KARACHI (HRNW) The complete results of local body elections in Karachi have been released, People’s Party came first and Jamaat-e-Islami came second. The Election Commission has released the results of local body elections in Karachi Division so far. The Election Commission has released the results of all 235 Union Councils (UCS) of Karachi.
According to the results, PPP is at the top after winning 93 USCs, while Jamaat-e-Islami is at the second position after winning 86 USCs. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has won 40 UCs in Karachi Division. Muslim League has won 7 seats, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam 3 seats and Tehreek-e-Labaik 2 seats. Mahajir Qaumi Movement has won one UC and independent candidates have won 3 UCs.
According to the Election Commission, elections were held in 235 union committees out of 246 in the city, while the elections were postponed due to the death of candidates on 11 seats.
Complete results of all 30 UCs of Malir district of Karachi have been received. Malir district consists of 3 towns and 30 Union Councils (UCs). According to the unofficial and unofficial results, the People’s Party won 20 UCs in Malir district. PTI won 4 UCs from Malir. Apart from this, Jamaat-e-Islami won 3 UCs, Pakistan Muslim League-N won 2 UCs, independent candidate won one UC.
The result of the Chairman of Karachi’s South District has been completed in which the People’s Party has won 15 out of 26 Union Councils and the Tehreek-e-Insaf on 9.
The results of 12 out of 13 seats in Lyari Town have been announced, out of which 11 seats have been won by the People’s Party and PTI has succeeded in one seat.
The results of all the 13 seats of Sadar Town have come out, in which PTI has won 8 seats so far, while People’s Party has won 4 seats of Sadar Town, Tehreek Labeek has won one seat of Sadar Town. .
11 out of 13 UCs of New Karachi Town in Central District have come out. Jamaat-e-Islami won 10 out of 11 seats in New Karachi Town.
PPP won on one seat of New Karachi Town, on one seat the election was not held due to the death of the candidate.
The results of one seat of Liaquatabad Town have come out which was won by Jamaat-e-Islami while 2 out of 3 seats of Town Municipal Corporation Maripur were won by PPP and one by PTI.
The results of 2 seats of Kemari Town Municipal Corporation are out, PPP and JUI(F) have won one seat each while PPP has won one seat from Ibrahim Hydari TMC.
