Pope Francis does not see homosexuality as crime

VATICAN CITY (HRNW) – Pope Francis said on Thursday homosexual persons would be welcome to attend the church as homosexuality was not a crime and there was a need to differentiate between crime and sin in the context of homosexuality.

In an interview to an international news agency, he said laws against homosexuals were not justified, adding the church should step forward to get these laws quashed. “God loves His creation without discrimination and discriminatory laws against same-sex people would be voiced against”, he added.
