Seasonal fever from cold and dusty winds; Children and elderly are more affected in Karachi

Karachi (HRNW) As dry, cold and dusty winds blow in Karachi, the citizens, especially children and the elderly, are suffering from seasonal fever. Cold, cough, pneumonia and respiratory diseases are increasing in public and private hospitals.

According to medical experts, 25 percent of patients in Karachi’s hospitals are coming to the hospital with complaints of seasonal fever, while there is an increase of 10 to 15 percent in the hospital in patients who already have respiratory disease or cold allergy.

For the past four weeks, the temperature in Karachi has dropped in the morning and at night, due to which school going children are suffering from cold, cold, cough and seasonal fever.
According to doctors, more than usual cases of pneumonia are being reported in the hospital. Out of more than 600 OPs, about 200 patients are coming to the hospital with symptoms of seasonal fever.
