Sindh High Court order to suspend scrap festival permit in Clifton

Karachi (HRNW) The Sindh High Court has suspended the permit for scrap festival to be held on February 4 in Clifton Karachi. Deputy Commissioner South and SSP were summoned on February 9 along with records.

In the petition filed by the residents of the area, the stand was taken that a program to promote homosexuality was being organized in the name of the festival, which caused great anger among the residents of the area. It is against the constitution to hold such a program in an Islamic country.

The court has directed the SSP South, Deputy Commissioner South and others to ensure that no festival or event takes place till the next hearing.
