Rallies, sit-ins banned in Punjab for next 7 days ahead of PTI rally

LAHORE: (HRNW) The Home Department Punjab has announced a ban on rallies, processions, sit-ins, and political gatherings in Lahore.

A notification has been issued in this regard which states that the restriction will come into effect today.

It is also said that the ban will continue for the next seven days in Lahore. The notification maintained that the ban was imposed in Lahore in view of the deteriorating traffic and security situation.

On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is kicking off its election campaign in Lahore today.

For the campaign, PTI rally will leave from Zaman Park to reach Data Darbar under the lead of Imran Khan.

PTI’s Musarrat Cheema said that thousands of people will come out on the roads for the rally adding that today the whole of Pakistan will see that the people only want the supremacy of the Constitution.
