3 accused of theft, robbery and drug selling arrested from Orangi Town

KARACHI (HRNW) Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) and the police, acting jointly on the basis of intelligence information, arrested 3 accused Umar Farooq alias Dubos (the ringleader) of a group involved in theft, robbery and drug trafficking from Orangi Town area of Karachi. , Khurshid alias Staywala and Faisal Khan alias Jamalu alias Don were arrested. Drugs, weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
According to the details, the accused used to run a drug-selling and gambling den in Orangi Town Sector 11.50 near Rehmat Chowk, while they are also involved in robbery incidents in Orangi and Sait areas.
During the initial investigation, the accused have admitted to looting more than 150 mobile phones and more than three lakhs in cash during more than 100 incidents of robbery in Orangi, Sayet and Gurd Nawah areas. The accused are habitual criminals and several FIRs have been registered against them in Iqbal Market and Pirabad police stations.
The arrested accused along with recovered arms and ammunition and drugs have been handed over to the police for further legal action.
