Lahore (HRNW) Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir met Chairman BOG Lahore Arts Council Qasim Ali Shah and Executive Director Alhamra Muhammad Saleem Sagar.
The matters of mutual interest were discussed in detail; it was agreed to promote literary activities between the literary societies of universities and Alhamra. While it was also strongly agreed that both institutions will make joint efforts to create interest in arts and literature among the youth.
Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission Professor Dr. Shahid Munir said literature fundamentally promotes moderation and mutual tolerance in society.
Chairman Alhamra Qasim Ali Shah said it is the primary responsibility of teachers, writers, poets, and religious scholars to protect the youth from social immoderation.
On occasion, Executive Director of Alhamra Muhammad Saleem Sagar said that education is a force whose influence is indelible, which is why any country’s development depends on its educational curriculum and system. He further noted that Alhamra is the center of literary and cultural activities; the visit of Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir and expressing joint efforts in developing arts and literature is welcome and encouraging for us. For which we are grateful to them.
At the end of the meeting, Chairman Alhamra Qasim Ali Shah presented his book to the Chairman of PHEC. Director Coordination PHEC Dr. Tanveer Qasim was also present in the meeting.
