Karachi (HRNW) Sindh Food Authority and NED University (Food Sciences and Technology Department) have signed an MoU. The MoU was signed by Director General Sindh Food Authority Agha Fakhar Hussain and Vice chancellor NED University Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi. On this occasion SFA Director Technical Ahmed Ali, Dr Seema and faculty members of Food Sciences and Technology Department. The purpose of singing of MoU is to give access to the officials of SFA to get food items checked in food lab of NED University. It is to mention here that SFA has also signed a similar MoU with Food Sciences and Technology Department of Karachi University one week back.
On this occasion DG SFA Agha Fakhar Hussain said that SFA was closely working with all stake holders to ensure food quality to the people of Sindh and for the purpose we were planning in collaboration with all universities of Sindh to established food labs in their respective universities . He told that SFA would arrange visits of the restaurants, bakeries and other food centres for the students of Food Sciences and Technology Department of NED University so that they might get first hand knowledge of their relevant field.
