Sindh government should take notice of illegal tax collection from cattle traders: Shakir Umar Gujjar

KARACHI (HRNW) President Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association Pakistan Shakir Umar Gujjar has demanded the Sindh government to take notice of illegal tax collection from cattle traders.
President Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association Pakistan Shakir Umar Gujjar has written a letter to Chief Secretary Sindh Sohail Rajput, in which it has been said that farmers and traders are being charged Rs 2,000 per cattle in the name of tax.
It has been said in the letter that like every year, extortion posts have been established at the entrance and exit gates of the buffalo colony in the name of tax, where two thousand rupees per head of cattle is being collected.
For the last several years in the name of DMC Miller it has been extorted in the name of tax. Its collection is started 25 days before Eid. This type of allowance cannot be recovered without the involvement of the local police. SSP Malir Hasan Sardar Niazi should take notice of this.
The letter further states that there is no scope for such taxes across Sindh or in any law of the entire country. This tax is collected only in Karachi 25 days before Eid. Extortion in the name of tax has been started today from June 4, 25 days before Eid-ul-Adha.
Sukhan police is also patronizing them. We request you to take immediate legal action against such elements.
