Army top brass resolves to tighten noose around May 9 perpetrators

RAWALPINDI (HRNW) – The military’s top brass on Wednesday vowed to tighten noose around masterminds and planners of May 9 incidents, said ISPR.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir chaired the 81st Formation Commanders Conference, attended by Corps Commanders, Principal Staff Officers, and Formation Commanders, at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

The military’s media wing stated the Army saw May 9 as “black day” in history, adding that the perpetrators would be brought to justice. “All attempts to sabotage peace process in the country are useless,” the ISPR quoted COAS as saying.

COAS General Asim Munir said the participation of people in May 25 ceremonies was a testament to a strong bond between the army and the masses, the ISPR stated.
