9th day of road checking Campaign- more than 19 thousand vehicles checked- Rs 1. crore 75 lac tax collected

Karachi (HRNW) on the directives of Sindh Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Mukesh Kumar Chawla, a road checking Campaign to nab tax defaulting vehicles is going on across the province. Till the end of ninth day, a total number of 19039 vehicles were checked. According to details, in Karachi 3901, in Hyderabad 5614, in Sukkur 2236, in Larkana 2311, in Mirpur Khas 1749 and in Shaheed Benazeerabad 3228 vehicles were checked.

So far during road checking Campaign 1048 vehicles were impounded while documents of 1477 vehicles were seized. Rs 1 crore and 75 lacs were collected in term of various taxes. Meanwhile in a statement, Provincial Minister Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Mukesh Kumar Chawla has requested the owners of the tax defaulting vehicles to deposit their taxes timely to avoid any unpleasant situation. He told that road checking Campaign to nab tax defaulting vehicles would continue till 16 June.
