In a statement issued by the PDMA on Tuesday, it has been said that more monsoon rains are expected in Punjab from July 13 to 17.
According to the statement, monsoon winds will enter the upper and central regions of the country on July 12.
Punjab Relief Commissioner Nabil Javed has said that all institutions and administration of the province should complete the arrangements and remain alert. Rescue relief teams should be mobilized and assigned duties in shifts.

From July 12 to July 17, there is a possibility of rain with thunder in Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum. Rain is also likely in Gujranwala, Gujarat, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Kasur and Okara.
“Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Hafizabad, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Jhang and Toba Tek Singh are likely to experience intermittent rain with strong winds and thundershowers.”
Rain is also likely in DG Khan, Multan, Rajanpur, Bhakkar, Leh and Kot Addu.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has predicted that a new series of rains will start in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from July 13.
According to PDMA Peshawar, the series of rains which started from July 13 is likely to continue intermittently till July 17, instructions have been issued to the district administration to take precautionary measures.
