‘Alhamra pays tribute to Sufi poet Mian Muhammad Bakhsh with the soulful event.’

Lahore (HRNW) The Lahore Arts Council organized a soulful event called “Sufi Sham Bayad-e-Mian Bakhsh” to pay tribute to the renowned Sufi poet Mian Muhammad Bakhsh. The program featured performances by famous singers Imran Shaukat and Shabana Abbas, who beautifully rendered Bakhsh’s famous verses, receiving immense applause from the audience.

Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, an esteemed poet, authored eighteen books, with Saif-Ul-lMaluk being a masterpiece he wrote at the age of 33. This book, consisting of 9,249 verses, encapsulates profound wisdom, exploring various aspects of life. His other notable works include Sohni Mahiwal, Shireen Farhad, Mirza Sahib, Qisa Shah Mansoor, and others.

Regarding the event, Executive Director Alhamra Mr. Muhammad Saleem Sagar expressed that the purpose of the evening was to promote the message of unity embedded within the words and teachings of the esteemed Sufi poet Mian Muhammad Bakhsh. He highlighted Bakhsh’s lifelong dedication to the spiritual transformation of humanity in the path of God. His words exude love and sacrifice, ensuring their eternal significance. Alhamra plans to continue this series of tributes to the Sufi poet in the future, he added.

The evening aimed to convey the profound words of Mian Muhammad Bakhsh to the younger generation, ensuring his teachings resonate with them. The evening was beautifully hosted by Alhamra Academy supervisor Ms. Naveen Rooma.
