BAHAWALPUR (HRNW) – The National Assembly Standing Committee on Education recommended the government to put the name of all accused of the Islamia University, Bahawalpur scandal on the exit control list (ECL).
The issue was discussed in length in the standing committee meeting chaired by its chairman Samul Hassan Gillani.
The District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Abbas gave briefing to the committee members on the issue.
The committee also recommended to put the name of the university vice chancellor Athar Mehbood on the ECL.
Standing committee chairman said that a committee led by the Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) would probe the issue and the Federal Investigation Agency and the DPO would help it.
