Windy weather in Karachi, drizzle, light rain likely in night

KARACHI: (HRNW) Windy weather conditions prevail in Karachi and other parts of Sindh as clouds hovering over the sky in the city.

Mainly hot and humid weather will likely to prevail over most parts of the province, Met Office said.

However, windy condition prevails over Karachi division and Thatta, Sujawal, Badin, Tharparker, Umerkot, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Hyderabad, Matyari, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar and parts of Jamshoro districts, according to the weather report.

Drizzle may occur in Karachi, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Tharparker districts and along the coast.

“The winds are blowing from southeastern direction with a wind speed from 12 to 16 nautical miles,” Met Office said. “The city could receive light rainfall or drizzle in nighttime”.

“Cloudy weather will prevail in the city and outskirts in the entire month of August but heavy rainfall or entry of a robust rainy system is unlikely during the month,” according to weather office.

However, a wet spell is expected in the last week of August, Met Office predicted.

“Existing temperature in the city has been 29 degrees, while the minimum temperature was recorded 27 degree Celsius today.” “Maximum temperature could remain between 30 to 32 degree Celsius,” according to weather report.
