Karachi (HRNW) During the anti-crime in the city, there were 16 encounters between the district police and the robbers, 26 accused including 15 injured robbers were arrested in the exchange of fire, 20 different types of illegal weapons, 01 vehicle and 01 vehicle were recovered from the arrested accused. 08 motorcycles were recovered while the recovered weapons have been sent for forensics.
Police arrested a total of 664 suspects during raids in East, West and South Zones of Karachi last week.
During the ongoing campaign against drugs by the police, 43 kg 146 grams of hashish, heroin, ice/crystal and 91 bottles of liquor worth lakhs of rupees were recovered from different areas.
More than 127 different types of illegal weapons along with ammunition and 02 hand grenades used in looting from citizens and other incidents were taken into custody from the arrested street criminals.
A total of 41 stolen motorcycles and 06 vehicles were recovered and taken into custody by the Karachi Police while carrying out operations in different areas.
