Elections 2024: Saeed Ghani questions peaceful polls amid attacks on PPP offices

KARACHI (HRNW) – Senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Saeed Ghani questioned the peaceful polling on Feb 8 amid the reports of attacks on party’s election offices.

He demanded impartial investigation of attacks on the election offices of PPP.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, the PPP leader said that a tragic incident took place at party’s office in North Nazimabad area yesterday night. “We gave the CCTV footage to the police and moved an application to register the FIR,” he said.

He added that the MQM was really disturbed due to our popularity in the district central too and action must be taken against those who attacked our offices.

“We have more political workers than any party but we are not in favour of disturbing the law and order,” Ghani said.

He asked the Election Commission, Sindh Police and Rangers to take stern action against the culprits.

It merits mention here that an election office of PPP was also attacked with petrol bomb in Lahore the other day.

The Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja had taken action over the incident and directed the IG Punjab to register an FIR.
