PTI founder put national security on the line: Nawaz

Haroonabad (Hrnw) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supremo Mian Nawaz Sharif said on Tuesday the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder did not shy from going against the interest of country while seeing his government in a precarious situation.

The PML-N leader made these remarks while an election rally in Haroonabad. He said he came here for the first time in 1992 while adding the people of this area have always supported his vision.

While praising a lot of people who gathered at the rally, he said all the records of the previous rallies have been broken while adding this crowd has been showing the map of the happiness of Pakistan.

While counting his past achievements, he said when he was the PM, basic commodities like sugar and flour were available at low-cost to the people.

The leader of Muslim League-N added that during my time sugar was 35 rupees per kg and now sugar is 150 rupees per kg. During my time the tractor was worth 8 lakh rupees and today it is worth 38 lakh, farmer brothers! During my time urea was 1300 rupees a bag, now it is 5 thousand rupees, during my time a dollar is 104 rupees and now a dollar is 280 rupees.

 

The former PM said during his time, petrol was Rs60 per litre and his government had completed the the IMF programme and when PTI came to power, it again started begging to the world.

He said he made Pakistan a nuclear power and then asked rhetorically despite all those projects why was he sent to jail?

He further said that he was removed from the Prime Minister’s Office for not taking salary from his son besides adding that he and his family faced serious oppressions as he said he was neither allowed to attend the funeral ceremony of his father nor he was present at the time of his mother’s death.

“There is no compensation for such losses,” he added.

The PML-N supremo said the PTI founder attacked Pakistan as soon as he saw his position in danger while adding that such a heinous conspiracy was made that national security was also put at stake.

He said he was removed from the PM office thrice and not once the allegations that were made against him proved bona fide.
