Karachi (HRNW) Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organized a seminar at the Haseena Moin Hall to commemorate Kashmir Solidarity Day. The seminar featured notable speakers, including Secretary Arts Council Ejaz Farooqi, Yaseen Azad Advocate, Naila Sharif from London, Jamshed Hussain, Sardar Nazakat, Maqsood-ul-Zaman, and Bashir Sadozai.
Yaseen Azad, Advocate, emphasized that the Kashmir issue persists between India and Pakistan. The resolution of the Kashmir problem lies in a mutual decision between Pakistan and India, without the need for war. Up until now, despite the various governments that have come and gone since 1947, none have proactively pushed the matter forward. No one has taken the matter to the international board for a resolution. It remains to be seen how Pakistan is positioned in the current state of affairs, where emotionally, we declare our readiness for jihad. We need to assess how many individuals are genuinely committed to the cause of jihad. It’s imperative to reflect on our efforts for Kashmir over the past seventy-five years.
Secretary Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Ejaz Farooqi expressed satisfaction with the insightful discussions during the seminar. He highlighted the importance of presenting the Kashmir issue in various forums to raise awareness globally. Reflecting on historical aspects, he mentioned that the British intended to keep animosity alive between Pakistan and India, which has unfortunately persisted. Sardar Nazakat passionately remarked that today people from Karachi to Kashmir stand united for the cause. He underscored that Kashmir is an issue that unites the entire Pakistani nation, emphasizing the commitment of Pakistanis to stand with Kashmir. Jamshed Hussain emphasized the need to raise our voices against the atrocities on Kashmiris. He acknowledged Ahmed Shah’s consistent efforts in organizing programs related to Kashmir and stressed the role of social media in empowering people with the truth.
Bashir Sadozai praised the leadership of Ahmed Shah in the progress of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi. He highlighted ongoing efforts across Pakistan to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day, ensuring that the world is informed about Pakistan’s unwavering support for Kashmir. Naila Sharif passionately reiterated that every year, people unite for this program to stand in solidarity with Kashmir. She asserted that Kashmir is the lifeline of Pakistan, emphasizing the human rights aspect and the right of every individual to live freely. She mentioned that every effort is made to keep their voices and sacrifices alive.
The seminar included visual representations of the atrocities based on Indian barbarism and concluded with arrangements for speeches on the occasion of February 5th.
