KARACHI (HRNW) A major crackdown by Customs Intelligence against importers involved in misuse of tax exemption on import of black tea for Azad Kashmir. In the light of intelligence information, the staff of Customs Intelligence Karachi raided a warehouse and confiscated 850 tons of tea worth 73 crore rupees.
In the light of the Customs Intelligence report, Azad Kashmir Government formed a JIT.
According to the JIT report, taxes of Rs 255 crore were evaded in the past imports.
The customs authorities registered an FIR against the people involved in the incident.
The action of Customs Intelligence will help in the recovery of the stolen money of Rs 255 crore.
