NAB moves Supreme Court against Imran Khan’s bail in 190mn pounds graft case

ISLAMABAD (HRNW) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has approached the Supreme Court for the cancellation of the bail secured by former prime minister Imran Khan in the 190 million pounds graft reference.

According to details, the chief of the accountability watchdog filed the petition with the apex court on Friday challenging the Islamabad High Court’s decision to grant bail to the PTI founder.

The petition requests the Supreme Court to annul the high court’s decision, arguing that it was contrary to the law. It contends that the high court had overlooked crucial facts when granting bail to the accused.

On May 15, the Islamabad High Court had granted bail to PTI founder Imran Khan in the 190 million pounds graft reference upon the submission of a surety bond amounting to Rs1 million.
