CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif Directs Admin and WASA Officials to Remain in Field Till Complete Drainage of Rain Water

Lahore (HRNW)- Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed district administrations and WASA officials to reach the field and take immediate steps to drain rain water in all cities including Lahore. She said,”Continuous work should be done for the drainage of rain water from roads and low-lying areas.” She added,”After rain, water should not be seen in the streets and markets.”

Madam Chief Minister said,”Traffic police should clear roads at the earliest to avoid traffic jam.” She added,” All necessary steps should be taken to keep traffic flowing in Lahore and other cities.” She directed traffic warden to actively perform duties in the field to facilitate citizens.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said, ”Administration and residents should be active, all resources should be used for the drainage of rain water.” She added, ”Timely transfer of people from low-lying areas to safe places should be ensured.” She underscored,”People of low-lying areas should be warned about evacuation in advance.”

Madam Chief Minister said,”The concerned officers are present in the field.” She added,”Safety of life and property of citizens will be ensured at all cost.”

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said, ”Ensure implementation of orders and SOPs issued by PDMA.” She added, ”Rainwater should not stand on roads for long.”
