Punjab government orders to arrest 1590 PTI workers

LAHORE (HRNW) – The Punjab government issued orders to arrest 1590 workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) that announced to protest.

The PTI workers who were arrested in connection with the protest were declared miscreants.

PTI announced a protest on October 5 in Lahore. The administration placed containers around Minar-e-Pakistan Ground while a heavy police force also deployed.

 

Rangers troops were also called after implementing Section 144 in four cities of Punjab.

The act of imposing Section 144 for six days in Lahore was challenged in the Lahore High Court.

However, to block the PTI’s protest on October 5 at Greater Iqbal Park containers were placed near Minar-e-Pakistan Park. The police force was also deployed there.
