Desecration of Holy Quran condemned; trade and diplomat boycott of Norway urged

Karachi (HRNW)-Sindh Minister for Information and Labour Saeed Ghani expressing his anger over desecration of Holy Quran in Norway urged Muslim governments to boycott Norway if strict action is not taken against the culprit.

He was addressing to a seerat conference organized by the Karachi Administration Housing Society and Karachi Admin Association here in block 4 of society.

Seerat conference turned into a protest gathering when participants observed one minute silence on the sad incident and registered their strong protest by chanting slogans against government of Norway for allowing such people to disrespect religion of Islam. Participants and all guests wore black bands on their arms as a token of protest.

This conference was addressed by number of speakers including Maulana Tanveerul Haq Thanvi, Sheikh Khalid Noor, Chairman Karahci Admin Association, Kashif Sheikh, Vice Chairman, Ahmed Ali, Secretary Karachi Admin Cooperative Housing Society and others. Anis Bari, Saboor Ahmed, Saad Akhtar, Faizan Taqi, Saad Saleem, Sheikh Zuber Noor, Saad Zafar, Mujahid Baloch, Bilal Ghaffar, PTI MPA, Hassam Shamsi, Iqbal Saand, Iqbal Yousuf, Shahzad Memon, DSP Malir Faisal Khan, Shoaib Khan, SHO Tiput Sultan police stations and others were also present in the event.

Addressing to the gathering and later talking to media, Saeed Ghani said that trade and diplomatic boycott of Norway should be done if no action is taken against the culprit. Such acts in the garb of freedom of expression in developed world are totally unacceptable for Muslim Ummah. All Muslim countries should follow a united stand on it, he added.
